Description
This collection consists of notes, maps and other documents related to David Burkenroad’s research projects in San Diego County.
Background
David Burkenroad was a historical researcher in San Diego County. He investigated the history of several areas of the North and east County including Poway, Rainbow and Temecula. In 1979, he was involved in a series of studies for the Department of Transportation of a rock wall formation near Interstate 15 in Rainbow, California. He also conducted an oral history interview with Ed Fletcher, Jr. At the time this collection was donated Burkenroad was residing in Los Angeles.
