Biographical/Historical note

Charles Adams Platt was born on October 16, 1861. He completed coursework at the National Academy of Art in New York as well as the Art Students League in New York. In 1890 Platt opened his own firm based in New York, which he operated until his death in 1933.

Scope and Content note

The Charles A. Platt drawings of the Mrs. Henry Stephens house span 3 linear feet and date from 1919. The collection consists of two drawings of the loggia: one an original drawing of the loggia plan and the other a blueprint with handwritten annotations depicting the details for the chimney tops, sash and screens for loggia.
