Orville Thompson (1919–2006) was a founding faculty member of the UC Davis Department of Human and Community Development and founding chair of the Department of Applied Behavioral Sciences. Thompson was a member of the UC Davis faculty from 1954 to 1988. The collection includes color slides of UC Davis campus scenes.
