Description
The Yolo Basin Foundation Records include documentation from the first executive director of the foundation, including materials documenting the creation of the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area. The collection contains correspondence, reports, grant documentation, financial materials, records of educational programs, and strategic plans.
Background
The Yolo Basin Foundation was founded in 1990 to aid in establishing the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area. The group fosters inter-organization communication on conservation projects, coordinates and runs educational programs, and facilitates meetings of the Yolo Bypass Working Group. The working group brings together land owners, farmers, and area agencies to discuss and provide guidance on Yolo Bypass-related issues.
