Stanley R. Brossette was a gay activist in Los Angeles, California. He collected research material from 1970-1971 on the emergence
of the gay liberation movement and Gay Liberation Front organizations across America. Brossette was an active participant
in the Los Angeles gay liberation movement during the 1970s.

Scope and Contents
This collection (1963-1971) comprises newspaper clippings, correspondence, notes, manuscripts, a bibliography, a list of
gay liberation organizations by state, flyers, and press releases pertaining to various gay liberation organizations collected
by Stanley Brossette. The bulk of the collection is Brossette's notes and correspondence to various gay organizations requesting
materials.
