Biographical/Historical note
The firm Edwards-Pitman, Architects was founded by Peter Edwards (son of architect William Albert Edwards) and John Pitman
(son of architect Richard Hickman Pitman) in 1957 in Santa Barbara, California. In 1979 Richard Redmond was hired and by 1998
he was made partner. Both founders have since retired, and Redmond has become the owner and principle of the firm.
Scope and Content note
The Edwards-Pitman drawings span 3 linear feet and date circa 1988. The collection is composed of two flat file folders. One
file contains five blueprints documenting the Bank of Montecito addition and renovations. Drawings include: site plan, West
elevations, South elevations, a full size detail drawing of a light fixture, as well as a landscape plan. The second folder
contains five presentation boards of the Presidio Springs Housing Master Plan in Santa Barbara, a subsidized senior citizen
housing complex. Presentation boards depict unit plans for units C, D, A and S as well as plot plans for blocks 4, 3, 5, and
7.
