Abstract: Assistant engineer's license application and letter of recommendation for James J. Lee (SAFR 17525, HDC 366) collection contains
a Department of Commerce and Labor, Steamboat-Inspection Service application for assistant engineer upon the San Francisco
Bay and its rivers, dated November 8, 1905; and a letter of recommendation by Mr. Lee's employer, the Southern Pacific Company
dated October 30, 1905. The collection is available for research use without restriction.
