Scope and Content of Collection
Photograph album containing images that document a TIME news tour of Europe in November 1963. Images show United States corporate
executives visiting European capitals. Transcribed from the album: "From November 2 to November 14, 1963, 20 American corporation
executives and one college president took a 'journalist's' look at Europe under the auspices of TIME, The Weekly Newsmagazine.
Traveling as far as Moscow by chartered aircraft, they spoke to the leaders of six countries in seven cities in twelve hectic
but exhilarating days. While TIME was the sponsor, each member of the party paid his own way. The tour was unprecedented in
many respects, not the least of which was the fact that probably never before in history had a band of traveling 'newsmen'
succeeded in making so much news themselves."
