Scope and Content

The Velero IV operated between 1948 and 1985. Included in this series are records relating to the ship's launching, its operations, and its repairs. Ships logs and station logs are extensive and relatively complete. Also included are correspondence regarding, and records documenting, exploratory equipment and data collection.
