Biographical Note
Susan Westerberg Prager was Dean of the UCLA Law School from 1982 to 1998. As of 2009, she served as Dean longer than any
one else in the history of UCLA Law School. She is also one of the first female Deans of a law school. During her tenure,
the Clinical Wing and the Hugh & Hazel Darling Law Library were built.
In addition to her service as Dean of the UCLA School of Law, Dean Prager also served as President of the American Association
of Law Schools (AALS) in 1986, Provost of Dartmouth College from 1999-2001. Prager also served on a number of boards of the
American Bar Association regarding education and admissions to law programs. While the materials in this collection document
Prager's work at UCLA, materials from other archives of these other organization might also contain valuable information about
Dean Prager.

Record Series 742 consists of the administrative and office files of Susan Westerberg Prager, Dean of the UCLA Law School.
Files include materials related to Moot Court, admissions, committees, students, special programs, commencement ceremonies,
