Biography

William F. Reilly and Edward James Raleigh-King, known as Edward J. King, were partners from approximately the 1950s until their deaths in the 1990s. William J. Reilly was born in England on May 11, 1926, and served in the Royal Air Force in World War II. Edward King was born in Warwickshire, England (date unknown), and served as a captain in the Royal Sussex Regiment In World War II. King and Reilly emigrated to Toronto, Canada, and then to Los Angeles where they eventually settled. Reilly died of AIDS-related complications on April 24, 1995, while King died circa 1994 of undisclosed causes.
