Biographical / Historical

Comité La Verdad Sobre Cuba was a Florida based non-profit created by Cuban exiles and political refugees, most notably Luis V. Manrara. Many of the early exiles were educated upper class professionals from doctors to architects. The committee distributed materials to help educate the American public about the communist activities of their neighbors x miles off of the coast of Florida, warn of the pitfalls of communism, and to build strong relations between Americans and the new Cuban immigrant community.
