Description
Collection consists of photographic slides of San Francisco Bay Area plants and gardens including UC Berkeley Botanical Garden & Tilden Park, California. Also includes images of the American West, New York Estates, Europe, Asia, and images of Wilson. Collection dates range from approximately 1950-1980.
Background
Albert Wilson (1903-1966) studied at Stanford University; he earned an AB in Botany in 1927, and an AM in Biology in 1934. Wilson was a botanist, author, and landscape architect. He authored several gardening books, and hosted gardening-themed television and radio talk shows in the San Francisco Bay Area.
