    Biography

    Hunt Stromberg was an American producer active in film from 1921 to 1951. He began his film career as publicity director for the Goldwyn company in New York before relocating to Hollywood in 1919. Stromberg was at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from the mid-1920s to early 1940s. He was an independent producer from the 1940s to 1951. His production of THE GREAT ZIEGFELD (1936) received an Academy Award for best picture.
