This is a collection of a typed copy of a manuscript by Alan H. Jutzi (1945-) titled "Southern California Photographers and the Indians of the Southwest, 1888-1910" and photostats of articles on early photographers George Wharton James, Frederick I. Monsen, Carl Moon, Charles Francis Saunders, and A. C. Vroman. Papers on Monsen include photostats of books and lectures by Monsen. All materials are undated. Alan Jutzi wrote this paper for a 1986 conference at Princeton University, and may also have given this lecture at the Southwest Museum.

Alan Jutzi (b. 1945) is the Avery Chief Curator, Rare Books, at the Huntington Library in San Marino, California.
