    Scope and Content of Collection

    This series contains the subject files of Peter G. Peterson. The subject files contain memoranda, telegrams, cables to and from Peterson and the members of the Council for International Economic Policy (CIEP), reports, charts, speeches, newspaper clippings, and press releases, among others. These materials primarily document negotiations for a formal textile quota pact with Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
