    Biographical note

    Rollo H. Beck was a prolific collector of birds at the turn of and into the 20th century. He collected around the globe and he led a number of expeditions including the 1905-1906 Galapagos Expedition sponsored by the California Academy of Sciences.

    Scope and Contents note

    The Rollo H. Beck field notes consists of one bound volume spanning the years 1910-1912. Originally maintained by the author in three-ring field note binders, the notes were later separated and bound chronologically. The notes include journal entries and catalogues detailing collecting events.

    Arrangement note

    The arrangement of the collection is chronological and in its original form. The sections are bound in the order presented in this guide.
