Abstract: The collection
contains research materials related to Fiske's doctoral dissertation,
The College and its Constituency: Rural and Community Development at
the University of California, 1875-1978. Also included are materials
related to the lawsuit by the California Agrarian Action Project
against the Regents of the University of California regarding
agricultural mechanization research. In addition, the collection
contains two audiocassettes and a transcript of a 1978 talk at UC Davis
by Paul S. Taylor, Professor of Economics at UC Berkeley.

Scope and Content of Collection
The collection contains research materials related to Fiske's
doctoral dissertation, The College and its Constituency: Rural and
Community Development at the University of California, 1875-1978. Also
