Scope and Content

33 black-and-white photographs of an Inuit (Eskimo) or Aleut village, some with printed captions. Photographs feature tents, sled dogs, a man carving walrus tusks, strings of herring drying, women cooking, repairing and carrying a large boat, a man launching his kayak, Russian guns at Unalaska, a town and harbor with masted ships, dog sleds, water and coastal views, and a traditional fur costume.
