Wayfarers Ministry was founded in 1979 by Betty Ann Wagner. This is a collection of her newsletters, called Wayfarers Ministy newsletter, or Monthly Report Letters, 1982-2009.

Betty Ann Wagner grew up on a farm in Danville Iowa where her family attended the Methodist Church. She and her sister Juanita had a brief pen pal exchange with Anne Frank in 1940. The Wagner girls were given her name by their teacher Miss Matthews who had gathered names of schoolchildren while on vacation in Europe in the summer of 1939. The exchange was brief and the Wagner girls did not know of its importance until many years later.
