Description
Collection includes working papers of the Study consisting of notes, minutes, memoranda, correspondence, statements, reports, and questionnaires, 1954-1956, and the published report by Robert Hoopes and Hubert Marshall, 1957. Also included is the report of the Stanford Survey of the Behavioral Sciences, 1954.
Background
The Stanford Study of Undergraduate Education, organized in August of 1954, addressed issues of teaching, students' intellectual motivation, and the curriculum in order to improve undergraduate education at Stanford.
