On loan from the Railway & Locomotive Historical Society.
Arranged by railroad, then by locomotive number. Engines belonging to locomotive manufacturers have been placed at the end
of the collection in alphabetical order.
As a long-time employee of the Santa Fe Railway in Chicago, Richard Scholz was able to save papers, letters related to steam
appliance suppliers, blueprints, folios covering all aspects of steam engines plus cars that Santa Fe was disposing of. Upon
his death, he donated this material (23 tons) to The Santa Fe Railway Historical & Modeling Society.
