Scope and Contents

This collection contains several letters written by Thomas F. Isenburg to his parents. The letters begin during boot camp and training in California and end near the time of his return to the United States from Vietnam. The content of the letters include daily activities, weather, combat descriptions, personal thoughts, romantic interests, and family matters. A notable portion of the letters includes a poem entitled "Who Is He?" which contains a poetic description of a soldier in Vietnam.
