    Biography/Administrative History

    The society was allied with the City of Berkeley and other welfare societies to provide for the city's needy. A note inside the cover indicates that minutes prior to 1919 and stored in a Berkeley bank, but the location of these minutes is unknown at present.

    Scope and Content of Collection

    Minutes of the society, 1933-1943, recording actions taken by the board, and recording kinds of materials received and distributed. The minutes are preceded by a copy of the by-laws containing an amendment from 1928.
