    Biography

    Maurice Goldberg (1881-1949) was a Russian born photographer, best known for his portraits of dancers and musicians related to the New York stage.

    Collection Scope and Content Summary

    The Maurice Goldberg nitrate negatives span the mid-1930s and encompass 5.8 linear feet. The collection consists of original 8x10 nitrate negatives taken by Goldberg. Some 100 individuals, primarily Hollywood actors and directors, are represented, as well as around three dozen films from the mid 1930s.
