    Collection Scope and Content Summary

The Jack T. Collis papers span the years circa 1969-1992 and encompass 3.75 linear feet of manuscripts and 183 artworks. The collection contains production design drawings, books, and photographs. There are production design drawings for THE RUNNING MAN (1987), blueprints for DARKER THAN AMBER (1970), and drawings for SPLASH (1984). Of interest are production design drawings for STAR TREK III (1984), apparently used by Collis as a reference for drawings for STAR TREK IV (1986). The photographs are more comprehensive in covering his career and include scenes; photographs related to production design; personal photographs, such as snapshots, taken during filming; and location research.
