He wrote about John Wayne, Natalie Wood, Aaron Spelling and Charles Rosendahl, along with a variety of other figures in the entertainment world.

Scope and Content

Chronological files of Wayne Warga's research, notes and drafts for articles he wrote for the Los Angeles Times, Cosmo, Westways and People. Collection also includes notes, interviews, and research he collected while ghostwriting autobiographies for Aaron Spelling and John Wayne; research and drafts for a prospective novel about the airship captain Charles Rosendahl; drafts, publicity materials, and reviews for his mystery novel Hardcover; and research he collected while writing a book about the movie industry in the 1960s and 1970s, titled Shooting Stars.

Biographical note

Wayne Warga was an author and entertainment journalist who wrote freelance articles for a number of publications, including Life and Cosmopolitan. He also was on the staff of the Los Angeles Times in the 1960s and 1970s and was a writer for the television show Entertainment Tonight in the 1980s. He was born in 1938 in California, and passed away in 1994.
