The Thrasher (barkentine) logbook (HDC 190, SAFR 16473) was kept by Andrew B. Townsend for a 1919 voyage of the barkentine THRASHER on a voyage between San Francisco and New Plymouth, New Zealand carrying lumber and gasoline. The Captain for the voyages was H.C. Townsend. Entries mention a flu epidemic and crew desertions at New Plymouth. There is also an obituary for A.G. Townsend. This logbooks is available for use without restrictions.
