    Scope and Content

    1933 album contains 36 black-and-white snapshots of a trip to Bali. Images feature views of a village center, with children, musicians, huts, young women carrying baskets on their heads; aprocession and ceremony, with girls in fancy clothing and headdresses, dancing; a cock fight; temple reliefs; people washing and retrieving water in a fountain pool. Album is inscribed to A. E. Clegg from the van Gengels.
    1937 album inscribed (twice) "Bali 1937" on inside page. Thirty six (including two loose) black-and-white photos of various locales in Bali, many featuring activities of inhabitants.
