Abstract: Marcy Miranda was a graduate student at UCSB doing a case study of a Chicana feminist organization for her MA thesis in Sociology, focusing on the leaders of the Los Angeles-based Comisión Femenil Mexicana Nacional (CFMN). Her primary interest was to re-construct the Comisión's history through written records and articles and then through oral history interviews. This small collection is limited to one box and focuses on the oral interviews conducted in 1996. The collection features transcripts of interviews and the audio files for the interviews are available upon request. There are also a few subject files relating to CFMN.

Scope and Content

This collection is contained in one half-size document box and 8 audio files. It contains interview information, interview transcripts, subject files and audio tape connected to Marcy Miranda's research on the Comisión Femenil Mexicana Nactional organization. The interviews were recorded in 1996 and the material is dated from 1984 through 1997.
