Scope and Contents Note

The eight large scrapbooks in the collection were given to Mr. Thomas R. Carr several years prior to 1994 when they were found in a warehouse that was being cleaned out by the organization. To these scrapbooks Mr. Carr added two individual photo albums, a brochure about the Boy Scout Jubilee, and a booklet of facts about Scouting in Ventura County, assembled by himself, titled "Historical Highlights." In 1994 he asked for and received permission from the Ventura County Boy Scout Council to deposit this collection in our Library.

Acquisition Information

This collection was brought to the VCMHA Library in 1994 by Thomas R. Carr of Ventura, a life-time member of the Boy Scout organization in Ventura County, first as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout, and later as a Scout leader in several capacities.
