Description
The collection includes the following document types: correspondence, articles, notes, clippings. Several of the articles
written by Matthews in "Pacific Marine Review" used photographs and drawings that were documented in the Photo collection
P05-074. The scrapbooks found in the collection are predominantly composed of newspaper clippings.
Background
Frederick C. Matthews was a maritime historian who wrote many articles for "Pacific Marine Review", and compiled lists of
sailing vessels.
