Biographical/Historical note
Ross Gordon Montgomery was an architect based in southern California who did most of his work during the 1920s and 1930s.
His more well known work includes the New Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum (Los Angeles, Calif.) and the Saint Andrew’s Roman
Catholic Church (Pasadena, Calif.). Ross Montgomery died in March of 1969.
Scope and Content note
The Ross Gordon Montgomery drawings span 6 linear feet and date from circa 1900. The collection contains drawings relating
to the following projects: the Shrine to our Lady of Gratitude (Santa Monica, Calif.) and St. Anthony’s College (Santa Barbara,
Calif.).
