Abstract: The collection consists of a fieri
facias writ of execution issued in Lawrence County, Alabama in 1860, which commands any
state sheriff to seize the sum of two thousand dollars in court ordered damages from a
number of debtors. The writ also includes a list of court costs, and a number of handwritten
notes.

Alabama in 1860, which commands any state sheriff to seize the sum of two thousand dollars
in court ordered damages from six debtors: William H. Rose, William J. Thompson, George W.
Austin, George W. Gray, Ava E. Ashford and Liri J. Warren. The writ also includes a list of
court costs, and a number of handwritten notes.
