    Scope and Contents

    These personal papers and memorabilia, dating from 1939 to circa 1982, largely concern Sterling's years at Stanford University as president and chancellor, 1949 to circa 1982. Included are certificates, programs, clippings, diplomas, newsletters, albums, and photographs.
