Description
Three photographs from Bahlman's service as a student volunteer fireman, circa 1945-1949. Photos include a firetruck, the firehouse, and "Cap Joe."
Background
Robert Fred Bahlman earned his AB in Biological Sciences from Stanford in 1949. While attending Stanford, he served as a student volunteer fireman. He was shot down in Korea during the conflict and his name is engraved in the wall at the Memorial Auditorium on the Stanford Campus.
