    Scope and Content

    Papers of Lyle Reynolds Wheeler (1905-1990), American motion picture art director and winner of five Academy Awards. Sets designed by Wheeler include Gone with the Wind, Anna and the King of Siam, The Robe, The King and I, and The Diary of Anne Frank.
    Papers include "Plantation House" negatives, sketches, resumes, memos, budgets and correspondence.
