Abstract: The United States Navy Department records, (SAFR 14274, HDC 66) comprises the Report on Marine Condensers; and on Corrosion
and Deposits in Steam Boilers, Made Under Orders of the Secretary of the Navy, by J.C. Cresson and J.H. Alexander, Philadelphia,
1852. The report is 267 pages, with pen and ink drawings tipped in, and describes and analyzes over 70 different types of
condensers manufactured between 1779 and 1851. It also has addendum page and "Letter To The Secretary of the Navy in Relation
to Miller's Surface Condenser, For Marine and Other Engines. The collection is processed to the collection level and open
for use without restriction.
