Historical Note
The UCLA Department of Music was established in 1919 as one of the first departments at UCLA. In 1960 it was part of the College
of Fine Arts and after restructuring in 1980 it became part of the School of the Arts. As of 1994, the Department of Music
is part of the School of the Arts and Architecture. The Department offers both graduate and undergraduate programs in music
performance. The curriculum includes music theory, practice, and historical study.
Scope and Content
Record Series 724 contains concert programs, calendars of events, and ephemera related to the performance ensembles and performance
activities of the Department of Music. Materials provide information about performers, dates, and locations of events.
