Scope and Content Note

The series contains materials relating to Lunn's professional life and covers his work both with student organizations in the 1960s and as an art dealer. The student organizations include the Foundation for Youth and Student Affairs (FYSA) and related organizations. Lunn's activities as a dealer include files on the professional organizations to which he belonged, including national organizations such as the Art Dealers Association of America, as well as those that were Washington, D.C.-based; notes and texts for lectures and articles he delivered or wrote; clippings and articles about his activities as an art dealer; and biographical information. A small amount of material related to Lunn's real estate business is also included.

Scope and Content Note

The series consists of a small amount of personal papers, many of which overlap with Lunn's professional life, as it was so intertwined with his private life. Included are materials documenting banking and tax matters; personal gifts of artwork to institutions; and Lunn's various homes and apartments, out of which he often worked. There is a small amount of mostly personal correspondence. Photographs include copies of portraits of Lunn by a number of photographers including Michael Howells, Berenice Abbott, Wouter Deruytter, Robert Mapplethorpe, Yousuf Karsh, McDermott & McGough, and Pierre et Giles. A very few snapshots of Lunn's family are also included.
