The collection comprises one binder with clippings, correspondence, and handwritten notes describing lawsuits involving patients and medical staff of the Oregon State Hospital and the Western State Hospital during the 1930s-1940s.

Oregon State Hospital is a psychiatric hospital in Salem, Oregon. The hospital opened in 1883 as the Oregon State Insane Asylum.
