The Yolo County Board of Supervisors’ role is to act as the legislative body for Yolo County. Their mission is to enhance and sustain a safe and healthy environment, envisioning upon innovation and preservation, and maintaining the integrity of the governing sectors. The importance of implementing plans for agriculture and land use, economic evaluation, human relations, emergency services, health well-being, strong workforces, quality control infrastructure, are the Board of Supervisor’s goals. In addition, they act as governing body for the Yolo County Housing to work with the homelessness problems throughout the county and In-Home Support Services as public authority. The Board of Supervisors also participate in other regional governing bodies, and 13 fire districts. The committee consists of five members that are elected by the district, are non-partisan, and serve four-year terms. Agendas are posted here by 5:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to the regularly scheduled Board meeting.
