    Biography/Administrative History

    The Yolo County Board of Supervisors’ role is to act as the legislative body for Yolo County. Their mission is to enhance and sustain a safe and healthy environment, envisioning upon innovation and preservation, and maintaining the integrity of the governing sectors. The importance of implementing plans for agriculture and land use, economic evaluation, human relations, emergency services, health well-being, strong workforces, quality control infrastructure, are the Board of Supervisor’s goals. In addition, they act as governing body for the Yolo County Housing to work with the homelessness problems throughout the county and In-Home Support Services as public authority. The Board of Supervisors also participate in other regional governing bodies, and 13 fire districts. The committee consists of five members that are elected by the district, are non-partisan, and serve four-year terms. Contact information: The Yolo County Board of Supervisors meet on various Tuesdays in the Room206 of the County Administration Building, located at 625 Court Street in Woodland. Agendas are posted here by 5:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to the regularly scheduled Board meeting. Questions regarding an agenda item should be directed to the County Administrator’s Office at (530)-666-8150. Questions regarding action taken by the Board should be directed to the clerk of the Board at (530)-666-8195.

    Scope and Content of Collection

    Monthly and annual reports filed with the Board of Supervisors. Contains list and number of plants quarantined, reports of inspection of shipments of nursery stock, insect pests found and amount of damage done, weed and rodent control, apiary inspection, and fruit, nut and vegetable standardization.Arranged chronologically by date filed.
