Description
Organizational records, meeting agenda and minutes, reports, correspondence, political campaign records, bylaws, clippings
and other material, 1986-1993, from Orange County AIDS activist, Dennis Cabaret. The collection includes material from the
Lobby for Individual Freedom and Equality (LIFE AIDS Lobby), the Log Cabin Republican Club, the Elections Committee of the
County of Orange (ECCO), and other gay and AIDS activist organizations.
Background
Dennis Cabaret was born in California in 1958. He was a graduate of Claremont College and worked in advertising and marketing.
Cabaret served as co-chair of the Elections Committee of the County of Orange in the early 1990s and was also a member of
the speakers bureau in the organization Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG). He died of complications
from AIDS in December 1993.
