The Malibu Times is the longest running newspaper in Malibu, California. The paper was founded in 1946 by Reeves Templeman, an accomplished
journalist and editor. In 1987, Arnold and Karen York bought the newspaper and still own it to this day. The newspaper covers
the region of Malibu and includes sections on the community, Malibu life, news, sports, opinion, obituaries, and entertainment.
In the early 1990s, the couple started another newspaper called
Canyon and Country Times which covered the Santa Monica foothill communities of Agoura Hills, Agoura, Las Virgines, Malibu Canyon, Lost Hills and
parts of Woodland Hills.
Canyon and Country Times only lasted a few years.
In 2003, the Yorks created the

areas of Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, and Westlake Village.
