Robert F. Blumofe was an American producer most active in film from 1952 to 1976. Trained as a lawyer
in New York, he joined Paramount Pictures' legal staff in New York before transferring to the Hollywood
studio. From 1953 to 1966 he was a vice president in charge of production at United Artists. As an
independent producer from 1966 to 1976 he produced three films, including YOURS, MINE AND OURS (1968) and
BOUND FOR GLORY (1976). From 1977 to 1981 he served as director of the American Film Institute-West.
