William Allyn was an American film producer. In the 1980s he produced two films, COUSINS (1989) and
RICH AND FAMOUS (1981). Before he took up producing, he was active as an actor in film from 1957 to
1965.
Collection Scope and Content Summary
The William Allyn papers span the years 1976-1994 (bulk 1980-1988) and encompass circa 7.3 linear
feet. The collection consists primarily of production records and script material related to COUSINS
(1989) and RICH AND FAMOUS (1981). There is material on nearly a dozen unproduced films and on one
television production, as well as a few general files. While the collection documents his activity as a
producer, it does not contain material related to his prior career as an actor.
