    Scope and Contents

    The collection consists of letters, documents and drawings pertaining to various railroads, particularly those in Australia and Great Britain in the 19th century.
    Specific railways represented in the collection include: Victorian Railways (Australia), the Midland Great Western Company (Ireland), the Norwich and Spalding Railway (England), the Southampton, Manchester, and Oxford Junction Railway (England), the Edinburgh, Glasgow and Leith Railway (Scotland), and the Fond Du Lac of Lake Superior Railway (U.S.)
    Cataloger's note: The original lot number was retained when purchased from Anderson Galleries in 1919. It currently serves as the call number for the respected volume. The lot number does not indicate the number of volumes in this collection.
