Beecher Medlin was born in Gainesboro, Tennessee in 1932. In 1960 he moved to Pomona with his wife and children and worked for General Dynamics for a year. He decided that he wanted to work more closely with the public so he accepted a job with Texaco and eventually obtained his own service station located at Fourth and Mountain in Ontario. He and his family moved to Ontario in 1964. Mr. Medlin decided to run for city council at the suggestion of friends and customers. Mr. Medlin was elected in 1976 and served on the Ontario City Council from 1976-1990. He ran for a county supervisor seat in 1990 but lost to incumbent Larry Walker; he retired from public office after this election. Mr. Medlin passed away August 13, 2006.
