Scope and Content Notes

Assortment of 130 photographs from the archives of a founding executive of the American General Rubber Company (GRC) taken mainly in Sumatra and also in the Straits Settlements, at the pinnacle of enterprise and fortune. Some photos have handwritten captions and dates on back; most taken in north and north-central Sumatra, from October 1916 to January 1917.
